Laser Eye Surgery
Laser Eye Surgery is the use of laser to perform procedures on the eye to fix eye problems or vision correction. Two of the most popular methods are PRK and LASIK. Laser Eye Surgery is usually used to correct vision disorders such as Myopia or Hyperopia.
Myopia is commonly known as nearsightedness. With this medical condition, close objects are seen clearly, but objects farther away appear blurred.
Hyeropia is commonly known as far-sightedness. It is a vision condition in which distant objects are usually seen clearly.
Glaucoma is also another common group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, and lead to loss of vision.
Other laser eye surgery also includes RK refractive Surgery (radial keratotomy), Corneal Onlays/Inlays or LASEK. Under the category of LASIK, there are also many types that are slight variations of one another, each with their own pros and cons.
