The Tourism Authority of Thailand, also known as the TAT, continues its efforts in pushing the growth of the country’s Medical Tourism sector. In 2010, the TAT launched a new informative website aiding patients traveling to Thailand for surgery, along with arranging the Medical Tourism Blog Contest, where the organization invited leading travel bloggers from across the world to experience Thailand’s medical tourism sector first handedly and to write about their experiences.
Thailand Medical & Wellness Tourism Trade FAM Trip 2012
This fall, the TAT tries another approach by inviting leading medical tourism delegates to the Thailand Medical & Wellness Tourism Trade FAM Trip 2012. The Tourism Authority of Thailand has organized a Thailand Medical & Wellness Tourism Trade FAM Trip September 10-15, 2012 to showcase Thailand as a world class Medical & Wellness destination. The 6-day trip will also create relationships with potential Medical & Wellness buyers and throughout the FAM trip participants will get up-to-date information on the products and knowledge Thailand offers. Participants, so they can better understand what is available. The FAM trip is open to Medical tourism facilitators, health insurance companies, travel agencies and others interested in selling medical tourism in Thailand.
Novasans will report directly from Thailand
Novasans is happy to partake in the FAM trip and will report through articles and blog posts what their representatives experience during the six days in Thailand.
The event will comprise of an educational tour to local facilities and trial services to make sure that buyers get completely up-to-date on the products and knowledge that Thailand has to offer. Additionally, an exhibition and networking event will be held at the Centara Grand at Central World in Bangkok, where representatives from various Thai medical tourism service providers will present their operations and offerings. Some of these medical tourism providers are health resorts, wellness and spa centers, hospitals and medical centers, specialist clinics, and herbal and spa producers. Along with this, other service organizations, such as airline companies, hotels and serviced apartments along with car rentals will be on display.
