Patients are our priority and we aim to make our services better tailored to your needs. We aim to make our patients stay as comfortable as possible; providing them relief from pain as well as educating them about their illness.

We have introduced new ways of working and redesigned services around the needs of the patient resulting in better services.To stay in the forefront of research, we have built up the research infrastructure at AH that are aligned with good clinical practices. Medical staff are constantly participating in various clinical improvement projects.

Alexandra Hospital believes in taking lessons in innovation and quality initiatives from a wide array of industries. Since the restructuring in 2000, Alexandra Hospital has embarked on a journey of learning from the very best, both within and outside of the healthcare industry.

Adopting an abundance mindset, Alexandra Hospital  believes in sharing with others and since played host to more than 10,000 distinguished friends and visitors from countries including China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bhutan, United States of America.

Staffs have put in time and effort to ensure that patients have a therapeutic garden to relax in.

History

Originally a British Military Hospital, Alexandra Hospital was handed over to the government of Singapore for a sum of $1 in 1971. After its restructuring in the year 2000, it became a member of the National Healthcare Group and had its facilities and services upgraded.

In 2007, a new hospital opened in Yishun was named Khoo Teck Puat and in 2008, Khoo Teck Puat and Alexandra Hospital joined together under Alexandra Heath in its restructure.

From August 2010 to 2014, JurongHealth will manage Alexandra Hospital.
