History

Arwyp is a privately-owned hospital which was established in 1985 and opened its doors to the public in 1986.  The founding shareholders were Dr W Wypkema, Mr. PJKM Arendsen, Mr. F Wypkema and Mr. J. Langerak. In 2003 Arwyp was ISO 9001:2000 graded, the first hospital in Africa to receive this certification.

All in all, 700 members of staff are committed to achieve perfection in Total Health Care. Through research and development the hospital has grown into a giant organisation and will continue to bring up to the minute technology to the patients for their sole comfort and peace of mind.
