This hospital is the first free-standing hospital focusing on children's health and pediatric. It was designed by the people who use the building the most ? patients, families, physicians and staff. The Alberta Children?s Hospital is used by patients from birth to age 18 from southern Alberta, southeastern British Columbia and southwestern Saskatchewan. They work as a multi-disciplinary team together to promote healing through family-centred care.
