Epworth HealthCare has five operating divisions - Epworth Corporate, Epworth Richmond, Epworth Eastern, Epworth Freemasons and Epworth Rehabilitation, and recently acquired Cliveden Hill Private Hospital, now known as Epworth Cliveden. Epworth HealthCare provides acute medical and surgical services, sub-acute care, diagnostics and rehabilitation to in excess of 90,000 in-patients annually and leads the field in many areas with specialties including maternity, oncology, cardiology, robotic surgery, acquired brain injury, rehabilitation and orthopedics.

History of Epworth HealthCare

Epworth HealthCare is a private not for profit hospital group that operates under its own Act of Parliament, "The Epworth Foundation Act 1980" opened in 1920 as a community hospital in Richmond. All surplus revenue generated is reinvested in improving patient care.

It started out as a community hospital in Richmond with 25 beds and 5 staff members which has grown to be one of Australia's leading specialist hospitals renowned both locally and overseas.  They operate 6 hospitals and is Melbourne's largest not for profit hospital provider. Epworth HealthCare has a reputation for providing excellence in patient care.
