History of Alexandra Hospital
Originally a British Military Hospital, Alexandra Hospital was handed over to the government of Singapore for a sum of $1 in 1971. After its restructuring in the year 2000, it became a member of the National Healthcare Group and had its facilities and services upgraded.
In 2007, a new hospital opened in Yishun was named Khoo Teck Puat and in 2008, Khoo Teck Puat and Alexandra Hospital joined together under Alexandra Heath in its restructure.
From August 2010 to 2014, JurongHealth will manage Alexandra Hospital.
